Tucked away in the lush tropical forests of eastern Jamaica, Reach Falls is a blissful sanctuary offering a harmonious blend of untouched natural beauty, relaxation, and adventure. Famous for their natural cascading waterfall and an underwater cave system, the falls are a well-maintained yet lesser-known gem to the outside world, making them a perfect escape from the tourist crowds.
History Reach Falls became popular when it served as a backdrop for the film ‘Cocktail’ in 1988, but its natural beauty has been admired by locals for much longer. The original settlers of the area were the Taino Indians who sought refuge in the hills of the John Crow Mountains that circle the falls.
How to Get There Reach Falls is located near the town of Manchioneal in Portland. It’s almost three hours drive from Kingston via Norman Manley Highway. The falls are also accessible by taxi or tours from the island’s key resort towns.
