History

The Black Pagoda in Konark, Orissa, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to the 13th century. The temple was built by King Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty and is dedicated to the Sun God, Surya.

The Black Pagoda is located in Konark, which is easily accessible by road from major cities like Bhubaneswar and Puri. Visitors can also take a train to the nearest railway station, Puri, and then hire a taxi or take a bus to Konark.
