History

Candi Prambanan Temple is a 9th-century Hindu temple complex located in Central Java, Indonesia. It is the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia and one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia. The temple was built by the Mataram Kingdom and dedicated to the Trimurti, the three main Hindu deities: Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.

How to Get There

Candi Prambanan Temple is located just 17 kilometers northeast of Yogyakarta city in Central Java. The easiest way to get there is by hiring a taxi or a ride-sharing service from the city. Alternatively, you can also take a public bus or rent a motorbike for a more adventurous journey.

Ticket Information

Entrance fees to Candi Prambanan Temple vary depending on whether you are a local or foreign visitor. Local visitors can expect to pay around 30,000 IDR, while foreign visitors will pay around 300,000 IDR. Audio guides are available for rent at an additional cost.
