The Gili Islands are a group of three small islands located off the northwest coast of Lombok, Indonesia. These islands have a rich history, with the first settlers believed to have arrived around 500 BC. Over the years, the islands have been ruled by various kingdoms and sultanates before becoming part of Indonesia in the 20th century.
The Gili Islands are only accessible by boat. The most common way to reach the islands is by taking a speedboat or ferry from Bali or Lombok. The journey usually takes around 2-3 hours, depending on the departure point.
There is no entrance fee to visit the Gili Islands. However, you will need to pay for transportation to and from the islands, as well as any activities or tours you choose to participate in.
