In the heart of vibrant Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, stands the Parroquia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe (the Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe), a symbol of the city’s rich cultural heritage and religious tradition. With its distinctive crown and bell tower, the church’s profile has become an iconic feature of Vallarta’s skyline.

History

Construction of the Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe began in 1903 and took several decades to complete due to the Mexican Revolution and other disruptions. Today, it stands as a testament to the city’s colonial past and is an active place of worship.

How to Get There

Located in Plaza Principal in the downtown area, the church is easily accessible on foot or by taxi from any part of Puerto Vallarta’s city center. If you’re taking a bus, routes to ‘El Centro’ will get you there.
