Tiradentes is a colonial gem located in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The town was founded in 1702 and named after Joaquim Jose da Silva Xavier, also known as Tiradentes, a national hero who led the Inconfidência Mineira, a revolutionary movement against Portuguese colonial rule.
Tiradentes is easily accessible by bus from major cities like Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The closest airport is in Belo Horizonte, about 190 km away. From there, you can take a bus or rent a car to reach Tiradentes.
