Houston’s home museum for American paintings and decorative arts is Bayou Bend, also known as the Museum of Fine Arts.
The collection is one of the world’s best displays of American furniture, silver, ceramics, and paintings and is on view in the former residence of Houston civic leader and philanthropist Ima Hogg
