Banff National Park is a breathtaking spot nestled in the Canadian Rockies, famous for its stunning views and diverse wildlife. As Canada’s first national park, established in 1885, it’s also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park has a rich history, with signs of human activity going back thousands of years, including indigenous peoples and early explorers.
To reach Banff National Park, fly into Calgary International Airport and either hop on a shuttle or rent a car for the roughly two-hour drive. Alternatively, you can catch a bus or join a guided tour that includes transportation.
There’s a daily park admission fee, with an option for a Discovery Pass that gives access to multiple Canadian national parks. The daily fee is about CAD 10 per person, while the Discovery Pass is CAD 69.19 for an individual or CAD 139.40 for a family/group.
