To reach the Lampivaara Amethyst Mine, travelers have two options: drive to the Ukkolusoto parking area and take a 2.5-kilometer walk to the Lampivaara Cafe, or purchase a combined entrance and transport ticket from the amethyst shop in Luosto. The mine is located approximately 120 kilometers from the center of Rovaniemi and is about a 1.5-hour drive from Luosto.
Admission to the Lampivaara Amethyst Mine costs 19 euros per adult, which includes the tour, a hot drink, and the amethyst you find. Tours are available frequently throughout the day, with the exception of May and November.
