Nestled in the wooded valley of the Teplá River, just 6 km from Karlovy Vary’s famed spa town, Château Cihelny is a striking 1890 villa styled like a castle. Designed by Viennese architects Fellner & Helmer, it blends historical elegance with modern wellness facilities—often described as an “imaginative villa so spectacular locals called it a château.”
Though not a true castle, it was conceived as one—its ornate towers and grand façade echo 19th-century aristocratic architecture. Fellner & Helmer, also behind Karlovy Vary’s Grandhotel Pupp and Janáček’s State Opera in Prague, crafted this luxurious manor in 1890.
The elegant chateau restaurant serves a rich buffet breakfast and refined Czech cuisine. In summer, guests enjoy meals on the outdoor terrace overlooking the garden.
