The story of Becker Vineyards began when Richard and Bunny Becker were on the hunt for a log cabin to restore in the Texas Hill Country. Their search led them to 46 acres of untouched land, which eventually expanded into a 308-acre estate. The area was rich with native Mustang grapes, a nod to the local German heritage. Friends and family, including the Beckers’ children, helped plant the first vines. By 1995, they had their first harvest, setting the stage for a winery that now produces 100,000 cases annually. Becker Vineyards’ wines have been served at prestigious venues like the White House and the James Beard Foundation, as well as many top restaurants across Texas and the U.S.
