Castillo de San Pedro de la Roca, also known as Castillo del Morro, is a remarkable historical landmark located in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. This fortress exemplifies Spanish-American military architecture and provides stunning views of the Caribbean Sea.
The construction of Castillo de San Pedro de la Roca commenced in 1638 and spanned over sixty years. Designed by Italian military engineer Juan Bautista Antonelli, the fortress was built to safeguard the city from pirate attacks and other maritime threats. It stands as a quintessential example of Renaissance military engineering adapted to the Caribbean setting.

The entrance fee is 4 CUC per person, with an additional 5 CUC charge for photography inside the fortress.
