Dal Lake, located in Srinagar, Kashmir, is one of the most famous tourist attractions in India. It is a beautiful, serene lake that has been a major part of the region’s history and culture for centuries. The lake is surrounded by stunning mountains and lush greenery, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and history buffs alike.
Visitors can reach Dal Lake by flying into Srinagar Airport, which is well-connected to major cities in India. From the airport, it is a short drive to the lake. Alternatively, visitors can also take a train to Jammu Tawi Railway Station and then hire a taxi to reach Srinagar.
Entry to Dal Lake is free for all visitors. However, if you wish to take a Shikara ride or stay in a houseboat, you will need to pay for those services. Prices may vary depending on the season and the type of service you choose.
