History

Ek Balam is an ancient Mayan city located in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. It was at its peak during the Late Classic period, between 700-1000 AD. The site is known for its well-preserved structures, including the impressive Acropolis pyramid and the intricately carved stelae.

How to Get There

Ek Balam is located approximately 30 minutes north of the town of Valladolid. Visitors can easily reach the site by car or by taking a guided tour from Valladolid or Cancun.
