The General Jackson Showboat is named after the first steamboat that sailed the Cumberland River back in 1817. It was launched in April 1985 and officially christened on July 2, 1985. This grand showboat is one of the largest ever built, with a design that takes you back to the American Victorian era. Built by Jeffboat, the largest inland shipbuilder in the U.S., it has become a beloved Nashville landmark.

The showboat is docked on the Cumberland River and shares a parking lot with Opry Mills, where parking is free. To get there, take Exit 11 (Opry Mills) off Briley Parkway (TN-155). Make sure to move into the left lane before the traffic light to access the parking area behind Opry Mills. The closest parking spots are between the Food Court entrance and Sun & Ski Sports, right across from the General Jackson Plaza where you board the boat.
