As a highlight of Idaho Falls’ natural beauty and commitment to wildlife preservation, the Giant Eagle Waterfall Nest invites visitors to gaze upon a bird’s-eye view of the city. Find all the details you need to plan your visit in this guide.
The nest was created and installed by the city in 2018 in an effort to attract bald eagles to the city’s prominent waterfall. Standing at 16 feet wide, the nest provides a captivating glimpse into the lives of these majestic birds.
Located at the edge of the Snake River’s waterfall in Idaho Falls, the nest is a stone’s throw away from downtown Idaho Falls and the River Walk, easily accessible on foot, by bike, or by car.
The site is free for all visitors.
