The Guadalajara Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady, is a stunning example of Spanish colonial architecture in Mexico. Construction of the cathedral began in 1561 and took over a century to complete. It is considered one of the most important landmarks in Guadalajara.
The cathedral is located in the historic center of Guadalajara, making it easily accessible by public transportation or taxi. If you prefer to drive, there are parking lots nearby where you can leave your vehicle.
Admission to the Guadalajara Cathedral is free, but donations are appreciated to help with the maintenance and preservation of this historic site.
