Kunafa Factory – Arlington, Texas

Awesome Kunafa spot in Arlington Texas with authentic middle eastern dessert. They also have ice cream and Turkish coffee. The Kunafa Factory is probably the best Kunafa I’ve had state side.
They had both a crunch top and soft top Kunafa. If you have never tried it before and would describe it as cheesy and sweet.. similar to bakalava flavors but without the stickiness. So good. Portions are big enough to share.

Kunafa Factory in Arlington def focuses on one thing and does it well. The fresh kunafa is served hot, stretchy, and soaked with just enough syrup. I drove all the way from Fort Worth like an hour to get this. It’s as good as I’ve had in the middle east.

Why Go

  • Kunafa baked fresh, not reheated.
  • Both types of Kunafa – soft and crispy

Location and Setup

The shop sits in Arlington with easy parking nearby. Inside feels clean and simple. You order at the counter, then wait while they bake your tray. The smell of butter and cheese fills the room, and that sets expectations right away.

First-Hand Experience

My first order took about 5 minutes. The staff cut it clean, then poured syrup slowly. There is also exgtra syrup if you want it. The first bite stayed hot and elastic, and the cheese pulled just right.

Menu & Format

  • Classic Kunafa: Fine shredded pastry with soft cheese and syrup.
  • Pistachio Kunafa: Finished with crushed pistachios for crunch.
  • Chocolate Options: A sweeter take for chocolate fans.
  • Portions: Personal trays and larger sizes for sharing.
  • Service Style: Counter order

What I Order

I order both styles of the Kunafa to try them both out. Both were excellent and you can’t go wrong.

Texture and Sweetness

The pastry stays crisp on top and soft inside. Syrup stays measured, not heavy. Cheese carries mild salt, which keeps the dessert from tipping too sweet.

Atmosphere & Vibe

The room stays relaxed and focused. People come in with purpose. Some sit and eat. Others take trays to go. Conversations stay short, since most attention goes to the plate.

Price Range

Affordable to mid-range for dessert in Arlington. Personal trays cost less than a full restaurant dessert. Sharing sizes cost more but feed several people.

Good to Know

  • Location: Arlington, Texas
  • Best Time: Evenings, especially after dinner.
  • Wait Time: Ten to fifteen minutes during busy hours.
  • Takeout: Available, but kunafa tastes best fresh.

Best For

  • Post-dinner dessert plans.
  • Sharing sweets with friends.
  • Anyone curious about Middle Eastern desserts.

Why I Go Back

I return because the kunafa stays consistent. It arrives hot, fresh, and balanced. There is no guesswork. Do you want the best bite? Eat it right away before the cheese cools.

Writer’s Tip

Order one tray to eat there and one small tray to take home. Choose classic first, then pistachio. Eat it hot and finish it fresh.
