Lacock’s rich history dates to the 13th century when it was an important center for the lucrative wool trade. Later in the Middle Ages, it flourished, boasting a range of houses from different periods: medieval, Tudor, Georgian, and Victorian.
It’s just under a two-hour drive from London or around 30 minutes from the city of Bath. Train travellers can get off at Chippenham, and take a 15-minute taxi ride to Lacock. Local bus services connect Lacock to neighbouring towns and villages.
