Lake Abant Nature Park is a peaceful retreat located in Turkey’s Bolu province, renowned for its stunning natural scenery and calming atmosphere. This destination is perfect for escaping the fast-paced city life.
Originally designated as a nature park in 1988, Lake Abant was elevated to national park status on June 10, 2022. The lake is a landslide lake, created by a natural barrier in the Abant Mountains, and is positioned at an altitude of 1,328 meters, surrounded by dense forests and diverse wildlife.
Lake Abant Nature Park is about a three-hour drive from Istanbul and roughly 225 kilometers northwest of Ankara. Regular bus services connect major cities to the park, and car rentals are available for a more flexible travel option.
