Yellowstone National Park, the home of Mammoth Hot Springs, was established in 1872 as America’s first national park. The springs have been a popular attraction ever since, mesmerizing visitors with their dynamic landscape. The area was named “”Mammoth”” after the large scale of its hot spring terraces.
To reach Mammoth Hot Springs, visitors can enter through the North Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, just past the town of Gardiner, Montana. The springs are located about five miles from the entrance. If traveling by air, the closest airports are Yellowstone Airport, Jackson Hole Airport, and Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.
Entrance to Yellowstone National Park requires a fee: $35 for private, non-commercial vehicles; $30 for motorcycles; or $20 per person on foot or bicycle. The ticket covers unlimited entry for seven days from the date of purchase.
