Fed by the Snake River, Palisades Reservoir was created from the construction of the Palisades Dam which was completed in 1957. It has since become a popular outdoor recreation area, covering over 16,000 acres and providing a habitat for an array of wildlife.
Located in the scenic area of eastern Idaho, Palisades Reservoir is about 55 miles from Idaho Falls. It can be easily accessed by car along the U.S. Highway 26.
There is no admission fee to visit Palisades Reservoir. However, fees for campsites and boat launching services may apply.
