The Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral, also known as the Lviv Latin Cathedral, is one of the oldest and most significant cathedrals in Lviv, Ukraine. It was originally built in the 14th century and has undergone several renovations and reconstructions over the centuries. The cathedral is a prime example of Gothic architecture and is a symbol of the city’s rich cultural and religious history.
The cathedral is located in the heart of Lviv’s Old Town, making it easily accessible by foot or public transportation. Visitors can take a bus or tram to the city center and then walk to the cathedral. Taxis are also readily available throughout the city.
Entrance to the cathedral is free, but donations are appreciated to help with the maintenance and preservation of this historic site. Guided tours are available for a small fee and offer in-depth knowledge about the cathedral’s history and architecture.
