Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve is a stunning natural area situated in southern Peru, approximately 110 kilometers northeast of Arequipa. Covering over 350,000 hectares, this reserve was established in 1979 to safeguard the vicuña, which is recognized as Peru’s national animal, along with its habitat.
