History

Shalimar Bagh, located in Srinagar, Kashmir, was built in 1619 by Emperor Jahangir for his wife, Empress Nur Jahan. The garden is known for its beautiful Mughal architecture and stunning natural beauty.

How to Get There

Shalimar Bagh is located approximately 15 kilometers from Srinagar city center. Visitors can hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw to reach the garden. It is also possible to take a bus from Srinagar to the garden.
