History
Smoo Cave is a sea cave located near Durness in Sutherland, Scotland. It is one of the largest and most spectacular sea caves in the country, with a combined length of over 650 feet. The cave is thought to have been formed around 5000 years ago by the erosive action of the sea on the limestone cliffs.
How to Get There
Smoo Cave is easily accessible by car and is located just off the A838 road near Durness. There is a car park nearby where visitors can park before walking the short distance to the cave entrance.
