The Dacian Fortresses of the Orastie Mountains are a collection of six fortresses built by the Dacian people between the 1st century BC and the 1st century AD. These fortresses were constructed to defend against the Roman Empire and are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Dacian Fortresses of the Orastie Mountains are located in the Transylvania region of Romania. The closest major city is Deva, which is about a 30-minute drive away. Visitors can reach the site by car or by taking a guided tour from Deva.
Entrance to the Dacian Fortresses of the Orastie Mountains is free for children under 18 and discounted for students and seniors. Regular admission is 10 euros. Guided tours are available for an additional fee.
