The Heineken Experience in Amsterdam is a fantastic spot for anyone who loves beer or is interested in history. Right in the center of Amsterdam, it takes you on a fun journey through the world of Heineken, one of the most famous beer brands around.
The Heineken Experience kicked off in 1991 as the Heineken Treat and Information Centre, located in the original brewery that started in 1867. This place was Heineken’s main brewing site until 1988 when they opened a new one. Over time, it turned into a lively interactive experience and got its current name in 2001. They’ve done a lot of renovations to make it even better, with the latest updates finished in 2022.
Getting to the Heineken Experience is a breeze with public transport, biking, or walking. It’s in the De Pijp area, close to the Rijksmuseum and the Albert Cuypmarkt. The nearest metro stop is Vijzelgracht, and tram 24 and others stop nearby. You can also drive or take a boat, with several parking options available.
Tickets are about €21 for adults. Kids under 18 need an adult with them, and they won’t be served alcohol. The tour usually takes around 1.5 hours. You can get discounts with the I amsterdam card or Amsterdam city pass.
