The Olt Valley is a picturesque region located in central Romania, known for its stunning landscapes and rich history. The valley has been inhabited since ancient times and has seen various cultures and civilizations come and go over the centuries.
The Olt Valley is easily accessible by car, with the E81 highway running through the region. The closest major city is Sibiu, which is about a 1.5-hour drive away. Alternatively, you can take a train to one of the smaller towns in the valley and explore from there.
Many of the attractions in the Olt Valley are free to visit, such as Cozia Monastery and the Fagaras Mountains. However, there may be entrance fees for certain sites, so it’s best to check ahead of time.
