The temple is situated in the Ko Kah district, approximately 15 kilometers southwest of Lampang town, just a few kilometers west of Highway 1 (Phahon Yothin road).

• The Viharn Luang: This main assembly hall, constructed in the latter half of the 15th century, showcases early Lanna architectural style. Open on all sides, it features a three-tiered roof supported by substantial concrete pillars and houses a large golden Buddha image, adorned with intricate murals illustrating Jataka tales.
• The Chedi: Standing at 45 meters tall, this chedi is covered in copper and bronze sheeting and dates back to a restoration by Chao Haan Sri Tat in 1496. It enshrines the relics of the Buddha’s hair and ashes from his forehead and neck.
• The Viharn Phra Put: Built in 1802, this smaller wooden viharn rests on a stone base and retains its original teak wood pillars. Its intricately carved wooden façade is embellished with colorful glass mosaics.
• The Ubosot & Ho Phra Phutthabat: This small ordination hall, constructed towards the end of the 15th century and renovated in 1924, features a chapel containing a sculpture of the Buddha’s footprint, which is restricted to women.
• The Museum: The temple complex is home to three museums: the Wat Lampang Luang Museum, the “wooden utensil” Museum, and the Museum of the Emerald Buddha, which houses a replica of the famous Emerald Buddha along with a fascinating collection of historical photographs.
