History

El Castillo, also known as the Temple of Kukulcan, is a Mesoamerican step-pyramid located in Chichen Itza, Mexico. It was built by the Mayan civilization and served as a temple dedicated to the feathered serpent god, Kukulcan. The structure is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a popular tourist attraction.

How to Get There

El Castillo is located in Chichen Itza, which is about a 2-hour drive from Cancun. Visitors can take a guided tour, rent a car, or take a bus to get to the site. Once at Chichen Itza, El Castillo is a short walk from the entrance.
