The Aleko hut is located in Vitosha Mountain near Sofia, Bulgaria. It was built in the early 20th century and has since become a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.
To reach Aleko hut, visitors can take a bus or drive from Sofia to the mountain. Once at the foot of Vitosha Mountain, there are hiking trails that lead to the hut.
The area around the hut is designated as a ski center.
Black Peak – 1.5 – 2 hours on foot along a marked trail.
“Golden Bridges” area – 3.5 hours on foot along marked paths.
There is no entrance fee to visit Aleko hut, but visitors will need to pay for any food or activities they choose to participate in. You can also stay on site, as overnight stays and ski and snowboard lessons are also offered.
