The Archaeological Reserve, located 2 km. east of the town of Razgrad, is one of the most remarkable cultural and historical attractions in Razgrad Municipality. The ancient Roman city of Abritus was built in the late 1st century AD on top of an Ancient Thracian settlement. It came to be an important urban center of the passing roads of Odessos – Marcianopolis Nicopolis ad Istrum and Nicopolis ad Istrum – Sexaginta Prista.
The Abritus Archaeological reserve is located near the town of Razgrad in Northeastern Bulgaria. Visitors can reach the site by car or bus from major cities like Sofia or Varna. The nearest airport is in Varna, which is about a two-hour drive away.
Entrance tickets to the Abrittus Archaeological reserve can be purchased on-site or online. Prices may vary depending on age and residency status. Guided tours are also available for an additional fee.
