The Etar Architectural-Ethnographic Complex is a unique open-air museum located in the heart of Bulgaria, showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage. Established in 1964, the complex features over 50 traditional Bulgarian houses, workshops, and exhibits that provide visitors with a glimpse into the country’s rural past.
The Etar Architectural-Ethnographic Complex is located in the town of Gabrovo, approximately 220 km east of Sofia. Visitors can easily reach the complex by car or public transportation, with regular buses and trains connecting Gabrovo to major cities like Sofia and Plovdiv.
