Situated in the picturesque Texas Hill Country just north of San Antonio, Natural Bridge Caverns is the largest known commercial caverns in the state. Known for its stunning natural formations, subterranean passages and rooms, it is a remarkable testament to Mother Nature’s power.
Natural Bridge Caverns were discovered in 1960 by four college students and named after the 60-foot natural limestone slab bridge that spans the amphitheater setting of the cavern’s entrance. Since its opening to the public in 1964, the site has continued to attract nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers.
Natural Bridge Caverns is located 30 miles north of downtown San Antonio. The best way to get there is by car via I-35 North. Public transportation doesn’t serve the location.
