The Natural History Museum at Cherni Osam is located in Troyan, Bulgaria. It was founded in 1992 and showcases the rich biodiversity of the region, as well as the geological history of the area. 10 kilometers east of Troyan, next to Oreshaka, in a beautiful area on the coast of Cherni Osam, is located Troyan Monastery. He is one of the largest monasteries in Bulgaria, founded in the 16th century. It is known for its stunning architecture and beautiful frescoes. The idea of creating a Museum of Folk Art Crafts and Applied Arts in the city of Troyan was born in 1962. Now it has 10 halls – the main exhibition.
All the places are easily accessible by car or public transportation. Visitors can take a bus from Troyan to Cherni Osam and then walk to the museum, which is located in the center of the village.
