North Macedonia, located in the heart of the Balkan Peninsula, offers visitors a plethora of attractions and natural wonders to explore. I went in May and for me it was the perfect weather/temperature and lower amount of tourist but I’ve listed some details on each season below.

If you decide to drive just make sure you have the necessary documentation, such as an international driving permit, that your rental company allows international travel and that you have valid insurance coverage, before heading over to North Macedonia from another country.

Taxis are readily available in urban areas, and there is an app called Cammeo that offers an “uber” like experience.
