The Biertan Fortified Church is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Transylvania region of Romania. The church was built in the 15th century and served as a place of worship and refuge for the local community during times of conflict.
The Biertan Fortified Church is located in the village of Biertan, which is approximately 80 kilometers from the city of Sibiu. Visitors can reach Biertan by car or by taking a bus from Sibiu.
Entrance to the Biertan Fortified Church is free for visitors. However, donations are appreciated to help with the maintenance of the site.
