THE FRONT ROOM is a stylish café-restaurant located on the 1st floor of the Marunouchi Building, directly connected to Tokyo Station. It positions itself as a “timeless & borderless” space—perfect for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or a café break—run by a restaurant team so the food and service aim to exceed typical café fare.
Begin with the signature French toast—thick brioche soaked in egg mixture, topped with whipped butter and maple syrup. For lunch try the salad + bread set or the pasta of the day. For evening, choose a more substantial dish like beef stroganov and explore their drink list with wines or cocktails. Reserve if you plan to stay longer or dine later in the evening.
The space is modern and comfortable with plenty of natural light; there’s terrace seating for when the weather allows. Because it’s located in the Marunouchi Business District, it attracts both office professionals and visitors. Evening service is slightly elevated, while daytime maintains a relaxed café feel.
Lunch is approximately ¥2,000 (tax included) average, dinner mains or heavier plates may cost ¥3,000-¥4,000. The French toast dessert sits around ¥1,300. A table charge of ¥330 applies per person after 17:00. Payment is cashless only.
Arrive early (around opening time) if you’re aiming for the French toast without a long wait. If you’re planning dinner, reserve in advance especially on Fridays. For a light café experience, request terrace seating when the weather allows—it offers a relaxed vantage in the heart of the business district. And don’t forget to ask for the maple syrup separately to pour slowly over the French toast—part of the indulgence.
