Located in Kingston, the Bob Marley Museum is a must-visit destination for music lovers and admirers of the legendary reggae artist, Bob Marley. Occupying Marley’s former residence, the museum captures the spirit of the singer’s life and work.

The museum is located at 56 Hope Road, Kingston 6, and is easily accessible by car, bus, or taxi from central Kingston.

  1. House Tour: Your guided 75-minute tour will take you through the main house, a preserved colonial-era building packed with a myriad of Marley’s personal items, his personal recording studio, exhibitions of his awards, his favorite clothing, and a photo gallery.
  2. The Theatre: The tour concludes in the on-site theatre, where a moving biographical film celebrates Marley’s life and career.
  3. One Love Café: Located in the courtyard, the café serves several traditional Jamaican dishes alongside a selection of Marley-inspired drinks.

Hours:

The museum operates from Monday to Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with guided tours running every half hour. It’s closed on Sundays.

Tips:

  • Photography is not allowed inside the house. Visitors are only allowed to take pictures outside in the yard.
  • Plan your visit to avoid the afternoon peak hours, if possible.
