The Chiprovtsi Monastery, located in northwestern Bulgaria, was founded in the 10th century and holds great historical significance. It has gone through periods of destruction and rebuilding, but remains a symbol of Bulgarian Orthodox Christianity.
Visitors can reach the Chiprovtsi Monastery by car, following the signs from the nearest town. It is located about 5 kilometers northeast of the town of Chiprovtsi. The monastery can be reached by a detour on the road between the villages of Belimel and Zhelezna.The monastery is situated in a picturesque mountainous area, offering beautiful views along the way.
Entry to the Chiprovtsi Monastery is typically free, but donations are appreciated to help with the upkeep of the historic site.
