Palitana is a city in the Indian state of Gujarat, known for its stunning Jain temples. The city is considered one of the holiest pilgrimage sites for Jains, with over 900 temples perched atop the Shatrunjaya Hill.
Palitana is easily accessible by road, rail, and air. The nearest airport is Bhavnagar Airport, which is about 50 kilometers away. Visitors can also take a train to Palitana Railway Station or hire a taxi to reach the city.
Entry to the temples on Shatrunjaya Hill requires a ticket, which can be purchased at the foot of the hill. There are separate tickets for Indians and foreigners, with additional fees for cameras and video recording.
