The Parque Nacional Henri Pittier is a national park in the Coastal Range of Venezuela, between the states of Aragua and Carabobo. Known for its extraordinary biodiversity, it offers visitors an opportunity to experience enchanting cloud forests, explore spectacular beaches, and view an extensive array of bird species.

History of Parque Nacional Henri Pittier

Established in 1937, Parque Nacional Henri Pittier is Venezuela’s first national park, named after the Swiss geographer and botanist Henri Pittier who made significant contributions to the country’s botany. The park covers over 1,000 square kilometers, consisting of various ecosystems ranging from beaches to cloud forests.

How to Get There

Lying around 100 kilometers west of Caracas, the park can be reached by bus or car journey. Taxis are also readily available from the country’s capital. Once inside the park, transportation methods include hiking, boating, and driving.
