History of Reserva Natural Morombi

Established in 2003, this 16000-hectares reserve is an offshoot of conservation initiatives by Fundación Moisés Bertoni. It protects parts of the Paranaense Forest and plays a pivotal role in research, preservation of biodiversity, and education on environmental management.

The reserve is located in the Alto Paraná department, about 330 km from Asunción. Taking a bus ride to Ciudad del Este, followed by a taxi or a rented car to the reserve, is the most convenient way.
