Lying in the close vicinity of Piran, Sečovlje Salt Pans Natural Park is an exquisite mixture of cultural heritage and natural wonder. Covering over 650 hectares, it’s one of the most significant coastal wetland areas and the largest salt evaporation pond in Slovenia, still producing salt using centuries-old methods.
Getting There
Reachable within a 20-minute drive from the town of Piran, the Natural Park is also accessible by organized tours. Free parking is available in front of the park’s entrance.
