History

San Gervasio is a Mayan archaeological site located in Cozumel, Mexico. It was originally a site dedicated to the Mayan goddess Ixchel, the goddess of fertility, medicine, and the moon. The site was inhabited from around 200 AD until the Spanish conquest in the 16th century.

How to Get There

To get to San Gervasio, you can take a ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel and then either rent a car or take a taxi to the site. It is located about 9 miles from the main town of San Miguel de Cozumel.
