History
The Museum of Science and Technology was officially established in 1989, thanks to the efforts of the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts. Initially, it didn’t have any collections, but it gained national museum status in 1990. By 1991, it was coordinating the activities of 16 other museums across Serbia. In 2005, the museum found a home in Belgrade’s first thermal electric power station in Dorćol, which was beautifully restored and opened its first galleries in 2009.

Located at 51 Skender-begova Street, the museum is just a short stroll from Belgrade’s city center. If you’re driving, there’s street parking available, but keep in mind it’s a paid zone.
