A sixteenth-century granary with fifteen vast grain pits cut into the rock floor — rupe means holes — which served as the exterior and some interiors of Littlefinger's establishment. The museum is a good one and almost empty: folk costume, rural crafts, and the extraordinary engineering of a city that stored fifteen hundred tonnes of grain underground against a siege. The climb up to it thins the crowd considerably.
