The Four Corners Monument is a unique geographical point where the borders of four U.S. states intersect: Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. Located in the southwestern United States, it is the only point in the country where the boundaries of four states converge. The monument consists of a granite marker surrounded by a plaza, with each state’s name and seal engraved on a brass plate. Visitors can stand in all four states simultaneously by placing a limb or a part of their body on each state’s designated section of the marker. The site is managed by the Navajo Nation and is a popular tourist destination, offering photo opportunities and cultural experiences with Native American vendors selling crafts and jewelry.
