A luxurious and glittering gem of the Mediterranean, Monte Carlo Harbor is one of Monaco’s most breathtaking sights. Framed by steep hills and flanked by colorful buildings, the yacht-studded harbor exemplifies the glamour and opulence of the famed Riviera city-state.
Monte Carlo Harbor, also known as Port Hercules, is an ancient port with a rich history dating back to the old Greeks and Romans. Over the centuries, it has grown into a bustling, world-class harbor accommodating a collection of the world’s most opulent private yachts and mega-yachts.
Monte Carlo Harbor is centrally located in Monaco. The closest airport is Nice Côte d’Azur Airport in France, 30 km away. From the airport, visitors can take a taxi, bus, or even a seven-minute helicopter ride to reach Monaco.
Walking around the harbor and enjoying its sights is free. However, entry to attractions like the Prince’s Palace and the Oceanographic Museum carries an admission fee that usually ranges between €8-14, varying with season and age.
